If you are a caregiver for one or more elderly parents, as much as you love them, it can become very stressful and difficult. PLEASE: go out of your way to find time for yourself --- out of the house and away from your responsibilities. You are no good to anyone if you make yourself ill --- mentally, spiritually, emotionally. Be gentle with yourself!

WEAAD - World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
It's SOOOO good to know that “Last Will and Embezzlement” is changing so many lives! It’s unfortunate the WEAAD event has to be postponed, but at the same time, it’s great to know the film is being used for such wonderful events. https://www.baltimoresun.com/maryland/carroll/news/cc-elder-abuse-awareness-20200614-32v4g7vxsbcbtcwqtsfj34kidu-story.html Hi, everyone, Pamela Glasner here. I am delighted to tell you I spoke with Ralph Oneal, the organization’s director, yesterday, April 28th, and he assured me he wants “Last Will and Embezzlement” to be a part of next year’s American Elder Abuse Conference, which is tentatively set for May 5-7. I’ll keep you posted!
Shoreline Area Senior Network
Shoreline Area Senior Network (SASN) is a venue for professionals who work with older adults. The main focus of the group is to educate professionals with the latest information and updated legislation to better serve the older adult population. Ms. Glasner was going to be screening “Last Will and Embezzlement,” followed by some comments and an audience Q&A on Wednesday, April 22nd but, of course, that cannot happen now. But take heart! All is not lost. Because she and Sharelle Thornton, Director of Community Relations, are trying to work out a virtual event, which would still include the film. So please stay tuned! As of this writing, the new target date is Wednesday, May 27th, running from 8:00-9:30AM. If you live in the Clinton, CT, area and have not seen “Last Will,”and have not seen Ms. Glasner speak, you really should try to participate if at all possible. It will be well worth your trouble! COVID-19 Updates for 2020
Obviously, the pandemic has affected all of us greatly, and while Ms. Glasner is still 100% committed to serving and protecting the elderly, all of Ms. Glasner’s in-person engagements have been put on hold until social distancing is a thing of the past. However ... It is Ms. Glasner’s full intention to bring “Last Will and Embezzlement” to you virtually as soon as possible. Stay tuned for further news. In the meantime, please keep your distance, but don’t forget to keep your loved ones in your prayers and close to your heart. Stay in touch! Isolation is the very worst enemy a senior citizen can have; it is what leads to the lion’s share of financial exploitation. So call or Skype or Facetime or drive over and love each other through the glass door. Do anything, just don’t allow long periods of time to go by without contact. Life is so precious and, as we are now seeing, can be cut unexpectedly short. So stay in each others’ prayers and stay visible in each others’ lives. UPCOMING EVENTS FOR 2020

To be held May 4-6, 2020 at the Harbor Center is Slidell, Louisiana. Follow this link for additional info: http://elderabuseconference.org/ KasemCares Foundation Conference
Looks as though this is where I am going to be from April 28th through April 30th for another “Last Will and Embezzlement” presentation: the Hyatt Regency Orange County, Anaheim, CA (this one at the invitation of Casey Kasem’s daughter). And hopefully I’ll get to see a bunch of my west coast friends! And then last night, Mickey Rooney’s daughter called me.
What a delight she is! I’m going to meet her in April, when I go to California for the KasemCares Foundation Conference. Guess who just called me?
Casey Kasem’s daughter — to talk to me about possibly including me and “Last Will and Embezzlement” in her annual elder abuse prevention conference. WOW! N. American Securities Administrators Association Investor Education on Elder Exploitation Prevention
Annually, NASAA holds an Investor Education training for its members. This year’s training will be at the Dadeland (Miami) Marriott Hotel in Dadeland, Florida. To be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 10th and 11th. Investor Education coordinators, public information officers, securities administrators and their staff from NASAA’s 67 state, Mexican and Canadian members will be attending the conference. One of the primary goals for this year’s training will be to focus on senior exploitation and the need for education for family members, care givers, and the seniors themselves. Additional details will be forthcoming. But while you wait for those details, at least you get to see where it will be! EC-CHAP - Willington, Connecticut
Exciting news! “Last Will and Embezzlement” and I are going to be featured at The Packing House in March (see the last sentence in the newsletter). It’s same venue where I saw singer/songwriter Kate Taylor in October. And it’s IN CONNECTICUT - I don’t have to fly there - YAY!!! (Date, time, and directions to be announced) Orion / SUN-Q presentation, Wed Dec 11, 2019 -- Iris Bikel, me, Caryn Isaacs, BCPA -- I drove through a mega snowstorm to get there, but in the end it was WELL WORTH IT! What a fantastic group I presented to. Thank you, Caryn, for inviting me -- loved every minute of it! And special thanks to Ronit Rogoszinski, CFP® for the fabulous photo.

Her description of the show: “A Brand New Interview About a Different and Compelling Way to Reach and Help Vulnerable Seniors: Pamela S. K. Glasner is the producer of a documentary film about the financial exploitation of the elderly: “Last Will and Embezzlement,” starring the late Mickey Rooney. I travel nationally speaking on the topic. Please help her help you protect those you love and/or care for — we must end this national epidemic!” http://wpcommunitymedia.org/the-alexa-show/09162019-847 #Abuse #medicare #alzheimers #mickeyrooney #livebetterlonger #elderfraud #financialexploitation #pamelaglasner #seniorcitizen #geriatric #babyboomers #neglect #fraud #money #frauddetection #exploitation #seniors #producer Lymes’ Senior Center in Old Lyme, CT
“Last Will and Embezzlement” and I were at the Lymes’ Senior Center in Old Lyme, CT, and we were both a HIT! Joining me were Joan Reed Wilson, Esq. (an Elder Law Attorney from Clinton), Molly Standley (VNA Community Healthcare of Old Saybrook), and Tracy MacKinstry (an financial advisor from Lyme). The attendees could not get enough of them! It was a pleasure and an honor to offer all those good people the information they needed to protect themselves and their loved ones. We should never stop learning or doing, no matter how old we get. The bible contains example after example of people in their advanced years being the ones to have the greatest impact in the stories, on those around them, and on those yet to be born. Why would God show us so many examples like that if He thought that the elderly should be put out to pasture? Shouldn’t we therefore infer that God wants older people to be active and productive—and to be respected when they are?
New “Last Will and Embezzlement” Video
Very excited! Just posted my new “Last Will and Embezzlement” video on YouTube. It’s an abbreviated version of the 23-minute film I use for my speaking engagements. Only 8 minutes long, this video is as informative as it is disturbing, clearly illustrating what my presentations are like, how I motivate seniors and boomers to take action to protect themselves and those they love. Follow this link to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AB1JmA88KMM&t=40s Abuse, Alzheimer's, Attorneys, Baby Boomers, Crime Prevention, Elder Fraud, Financial Exploitation, , Geriatric, Medicare, Mickey Rooney, Money, Neglect, Pamela Glasner, Senior Citizen HOW EXCITING!! We were just informed: "Last Will and Embezzlement" is an OFFICIAL SELECTION of the Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City!!
Producer/writer Pamela S K Glasner is SO honored and delighted, and she hopes lots of her Facebook friends will be able to attend this wonderful event with her. ![]() "My Dad was a war hero," producer Pamela Glasner explained the other day, "though he never, ever talked about the war. He was in the Army Air Corps ... in a bomber squadron ... and he was at Normandy. I know, because after he passed, I found his honorable discharge papers. My Dad had always been MY hero ... now I know he was everyone else's, too. I am so proud to be Harry Glasner's daughter." Ms. Glasner sincerely believes that ALL the service men and women who put their lives on the line for their country are heroes, and we salute them on this Memorial Day, 2014. On Monday, 14 April, 2014, just after Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney passed away, I was invited to NY City to speak with news anchor(and former Miss America!) Debbye Turner-Bell about “Last Will and Embezzlement”, elder financial exploitation, what happened to my parents, and how people can protect themselves and those they love.
It was wonderful working with everyone at Arise News – they were incredibly professional about absolutely everything and Debbye herself was perfectly prepared. Her questions were excellent, and she and I plenty of time to touch on the most important points for the listeners. It’s an interview I am particularly proud of. And …. It was so well-received that evening, that it was aired a second time: on the weekend edition of Debbye’s show. If you missed it, you can still hear it by following this link (http://www.arise.tv/headline/arise-america-14-04-5851) … all you have to do is hit the play button, then advance to 33:30. That will bring you right to the beginning of the elder financial abuse segment. Hello, everyone -- Pamela Glasner here. Two screenings today at the Legislative Office Building of "Last Will & Embezzlement", both with post-screening audience Q & A sessions. The conference was called "Same Story Different Age: Sexuality, Money and Mental Health".
The audience was almost entirely made up of professionals who deal directly with the elderly as part of their daily work, and nearly every one of them had had clients who had been exploited. It confirmed what I already knew and it should not have surprised me, but it was still hard to see that -- it still hurt. They asked a lot of excellent questions; we had lively discussions about a number of different aspects of the film and the issues surrounding the topic and, to top it all off, I received invitations for additional speaking engagements. It was exhausting --- I don't usually do two seminars back-to-back --- but it was also gratifying. A very successful day.
