The Virginia Première of “Last Will and Embezzlement”
The Virginia première of “Last Will and Embezzlement”, held at Greenspring Village, a glorious senior living community in northern Virginia (USA), was an incontrovertible success!
The film was shown as part of a one-day conference, the “Fraud Prevention Expo”, which was geared toward the personal and financial safety of the village’s residents — a warm and welcoming community of men and women in their 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. There were two showings of the film, one just before lunch and one just after, in the community’s conference center which had been set up to accommodate an audience of approximately 300.
After each showing, filmmaker Pamela Glasner was surrounded by grateful audience members as they shook her hand, hugged her, and shared their profuse and heartfelt thanks for bringing them the groundbreaking documentary which drives home the message, “If it (financial exploitation) can happen to Mickey Rooney, it can happen to anybody.”
It is so exciting: “Last Will and Embezzlement” is making its way around the country over the next several months, with the goal being at least one event of this sort in every state in the country.
